ManiaHost, Host the community!

Hi,
Today comes a new tool, named ManiaHost, designed to increase and make easier the file hosting in the TM Community. Indeed lots of players are looking for a hosting service. Thanks to ManiaHost, you can be the one who offer this hosting service?

This system allows people with a web server to rent their unused space to other players. ManiaHost is a library written in php with Manialib. It’s simple to install thanks to its wizard. Once setup is finished you just have to register the manialink urls on your player page then open registrations on your service.

Thanks to ManiaHost you will be able to simply host your skins, mods, tracks and even your Manialink in XML. Howerever the php files are not accepted for some obvious sécurity reasons.
The config requirement are:

• php 5 or higher
• gd extension for php
• MySQL 5

1. Download the package at http://files.trackmaniaforever.com/mani ... er_1.0.zip
2. Unzip the package
3. Upload the package on your WebServer
4. Make sure that the web server can write in the following folders and subfolders:

• logs (chmod 777)
• images (chmod 777)
• config/config.php (chmod 666)

5. Access to the index.php file with the manialink explorer (e.g: http://myserverweb.com/maniahost/index.php)
6. Follow the different steps of the setup wizard
7. Register the 2 Manialinks Short URL on you playerpage (http://official.trackmania.com/tmf-playerpage/) with information given by the wizard
8. Delete the file : "controllers/installController.class.php"
9. Your hosting system is ready to use. Go in the admin panel and put the registration to VIP only or Open wether you want your system private or open to everybody.

New Release and new features for ManiaHost!
Now, Hosters who want to propose a dedicated hosting can do it.
The procedure is pretty simple, you just have to put the login and the password of the dedicated account, then follow the instructions. You have to access to your server in command line or with a remote desktop, to use this feature.

For people who already have setup ManiaHost, you have to download the following package http://files.trackmaniaforever.com/mani ... pgrade.zip

Hi,

I've set up a ManiaHost on my server, first of all it's just a great soft!
Just few things are missing I think, for example, enable the user to choose between a united or a nation dedicated will be nice.

It will nice too if we can set a maximal rent duration. I'd like to provide dedicated for 3-4 days max. (I can't provide dedicated for 500c/month )
