We think we can start our RoC-Server (Login: lrtadrenaline) at 04. August '13, is this correct?
So we want to give some Information about the RoC to our member and friends of our Server.
Thanks in advance.
Hello Cerovan and Alinoa,
Sorry i asked this question above to TheM as first instead to you. He pointed me to the error.
But the question is the same :) can you confirm that we can start at 1. Sunday in August (04.Aug)?

Cerovan will confirm if you can start your ROC server next Sunday as soon as possible. I guess if it's not next Sunday, it will in two weeks ;)

Cerovan wrote:For others Ladder servers

Concerning others Ladder servers, the rules are similar to the RoC ones, just check the new values for the different settings (track length, number of players and spectators, type mode) available on this link : http://player.maniaplanet.com/index.php ... er-servers.

The “Big competition” tracks for 90K means that you mustn’t use “Short Map” (under 45sec), “Press Forward” (you have to use only forward (or very very simple maps) to finish the map) and LoLmap (fun map).

For the duration limit or the limit of number of points for the others modes (in 0-60K and 20-70K), the admin is free to use the values that he wants.
The link you mention in that post to view rules on other servers, has no rules listed. Could you specify exactly what the rules are for a ShootMania Elite Ladder server?

Also, why aren't we allowed to password a server when it's otherwise empty for scrims/matches? Why should we be forced to pay for 2 servers in North America if we want to have a server to scrim on when they are empty most of the time.

I don't understand completely what you're meaning by this but..
If you want a Passworded private server, then just don't upgrade it on ladderlimits and let it 0-50k.

So you're saying as long as I remove the ladder limit specification in the config file that it's ok to password the server using the same login?

The admin on here told me that I could just make separate config files with different server logins which I hadn't thought of, but what you said would be easier cuz with gameservers we'd have to FTP in and rename config files in order to restart it with a different login. I can edit the ladder limits easier on the server control panel page and restart it without swapping out configs so if somebody could clarify if that's acceptable that would be good :)

Ok, so you mean indeed that you just want a passworded server?

Just go to your playerpage and remove the limits of that serverlogin, you get your planets back.
Then password the server and whenever you want it back on the ladder, you can add it again in your playerpage.

(If you begin to talk about server files, I have to pass, because I don't know anything about that)

Yea I meant I should just be able to temporarily password it for scrims/matches without having to jump through hoops, going through all of that is silly.

Just change the login of the server and restart your server ;)
Ladderserver + password = no go.

Hello Cerovan, TheM,

short question about Canyon RoC.
Is this Sunday (11. August) the next Periode for Roc-Server Rotation, or later?
And can we get a confirmation for running our ManiaC RoC Server?
Thanks.
