Bugs in the Replay Editor for ShootMania

Post by HYPE »

Hello, I made a video which shows all current bugs in the replay editor of ShootMania:

https://youtu.be/q9xcDEgraiw

All bugs listed up here again:

Mp3 replays:

- The +1 marker is not shown if it is activated.

Mp4 replays (Simple Editor):

- You can not select camera targets

- No ghosts in the replay

Mp4 replays (Advanced Editor):

- All ghost tracks are just named "Charcter" (Forgot to mention in the video: This is fixed in the newer replays, ty! But it would also be nice, if it can be fixed in the old replays as well)

- Ghost tracks get seperated when a player dies and respawns (Forgot to mention in the video: This is fixed in the newer replays, ty! But it would also be nice, if it can be fixed in the old replays as well)

- Lasers are not visable

- 30% - 50% of rockets are silent

So:

these should be fixed in the 2018-03-27 update:

These should work in replays recorded since the 2018-02 update, but unfortunately cannot be fixed for MP4 replays before that.

Just noticed that lasers are still not visable when you go into preview mode. Also for newest replays.

Did some test to that.

Lasers shot by any MP4-Ghost in any Replay (also Pre-MP4) will not be shown in rendered Videos and might also not be shown in the replay editor itself. Sometimes though they actually show up in the editor.

I also tried recording a ghost shooting a laser in the replay editor. I could see the Laser then in the editor, but after saving the replay, closing the editor and going back in it was gone again.

Can't quite find a pattern for them showing up in editor or not but for all of my tests they didn't show up in rendered videos.

I did some tests as well and I was able to reproduce the issue of not having any lasers in a replay.
If you open an existing replay and then save the replay, it does not save the lasers.
Also, even when lasers are visible in the mediatracker, it does not show them when rendering a clip.

Picture taken from in-game mediatracker:

Rendered video, you can only see the light coming from the arm of the player:
