Hi,
It took me damn a while to find the cause of this.
Looks that randomly some gray boxes appears on trackmania playfield.
They sometimes lasts long, sometimes fill only half the screen or small portion or so.
I'm not sure if we do something wrong with expansion as I haven't seen the gray boxes on other server controllers (yet, though, i play so little with xaseco2 enabled servers nowadays).
Here's a screenie how it looks:

It took time to figure out what it was, today i figured it out.
I tried to press numpad * which disables all the manialink-layer graphics, and the boxes are gone (for little while).
Ummmh.. also before i had some textures not showing, sometimes it was portion of text, sometimes a road texture or so.. Hopefully this helps you finding possible cause of this little annoyance.

Re: Manialink-layer render problem on amd
Update:
seems like it's related to text render, and not direclty to manialink layer.
Since: if i do disable all manialinks (by f8) only chat text is shown.
This the gray boxes happens in that case, if i disable chat too, no gray boxes and all goes well.

I bet that's not conroller related, because i had these too (but white and on the left side or fullscree) and i was playing single player.
