hey harkham, thanks for your report!

the ~300 log files are definitely caused by a bug on our side, maniacontrol is restarting over and over which of course shouldn't happen if the connect doesn't work, we will fix this

the actual error "could not open socket" can have a few reasons
either the server doesn't have the port (5000) opened for incoming requests
or your local network from which you want to connect doesn't allow outgoing requests on that port or with the TCP protocol
did you check that?

I'm on a server at "Ovh.com" with debian 7.
I forced open the port 5000 with iptables, but still the same problem

EDIT : ok, I found the problem.
it should replace the value <xmlrpc_allowremote> "dedicated_cfg.txt" True.
It seems to me that the competition does not require touched it, it must be somewhat simplify installation

yep i already informed the authors of the info widgets plugin, they will have to take a look at it

The error has been fixed in the latest version of the plugin.
Once you've updated and still have problems, please let me know!

But when activated, MC crash at each change of Map

Could you please post an error message, or your serverlogin so I can check the error?

I had no error message,no log, MC freeze every map change, I had to restart

From the message, I tried to update the MC file from GitHub, and now MC close when active "RecordWidget" with log :

I've made several changes and uploaded these to the system.
Could you try updating the plugins and then run them?

Please let me know if you have any further issues.

EDIT: made some further changes with v1.172 (RecordWidgets) and v1.052 (InfoWidgets).
