R.I.P TMUF?

Post by Filipe1020 » 03 Mar 2012, 21:06

I mean, with TM2, i'm really sure Nadeo dont give a crap about TMUF anymore, it would be great if they would able to make a sequel for it, but i am really afraid if they put it in the garbage if you know what I mean :?

Something like Trackmania United Xtreme or something else, with TM2 graphics, more blocks, vehicle parts customization and a lot more, that would be awesome

I don't think they'll find that beneficial enough. ofc I agree with the idea, at the moment TMUF > TM².

I don't understand the topic title. TMUF isn't dead.
My tracks on: Mania Exchange (TM2) | TrackMania Exchange (TMUF)

For the devs: Ryzen 7 1800X / 32GB RAM / GTX 1080 (477.22) @ 3840x2160 / Win10 64bit

The game as it is now is perfect. New graphics and blocks are not necessary, not for me.

I want to remind you of the title of the game that has made so many of us a little happier. Trackmania United Forever. Forever does not end after four years.

TMUF owes the major part of its reputation to its players and only they can bring some life into it and keep it populated.

No, united isn't dead at all. Infact, there are many more players and hours being played on TMF than on Canyon ;)

TrackMania United Forever
I hope they honor the name.
If the game close the Services, I will be very angry, because I have not bought it.
Only I can buy it next year, when I have my own money.
CPU: Ryzen 7 2600; Video: GeForce 1070; RAM: 16GB; also known as The Lil' Electricity Bill Booster. In-game as <MATKS95>

Hi, i played tmn in 2006 for 2 yaet, stoped due to rl..

I choose tmu forever star editions, cannyon and tm2 doesnt seem fun at all because at the end you want to have fun.
Didnot think tm2 would be important.
In any case so many people on tmu servers:)))

I did track from 2006 yesterday quite something to see they survive :)

I actually couldn't disagree more with you on this statement. One of the key aspects to the fun and challenge of TMUF is that each car is equal. This means it's up to the player's skill to finish higher, not parts customization.

-----------

I do not think TMUF is dying. I took a one year break, came back, and one of the servers I used to be a regular on is still hosting 20+ players consistently. I could agree that it could use a graphics and more blocks upgrade, but nothing too drastic that would change the whole direction of the game.

I would think customization of let's say a menu of 5 different wheel and spoilersets with the possibility to individual colors would be a great thing. The mainbody and the AI of the car would be the same as always.

Along with updated graphics and blocks this would be the current dreamscenario-update to TMF.

If left "as is", i agree with the OP that TMF will slowly die. For my part, TM2 canyon is not at all a game i enjoy.
