Hey there,
I hae a problem since some days... If I have a surface of an item in the shadow-site, the texture is pretty bright and like "glowing" there. I already tried to find a solution with others, but I can confirm, the lightmaps are okay and the specular-map is okay too (btw. the speculars are only visible at the light-side, so it can't be that). I already tried to change the shading to flat, but it's the same result.. Does anyone have a similar problem?
Here a picture of the problem: http://i.imgur.com/SsQwGM9.jpg
You would save my objects! Thank you very much

Re: Glowing texture at the shadow-side
It's the bounce from the light that is a little strong in Canyon and makes this. Test it on a darker surface or on a ground in a shadow and see if it's still the case

Re: Glowing texture at the shadow-side
Oh, thanks for the quick answer! I'm calmed down, if it's no problem with the items this time

Re: Glowing texture at the shadow-side
If this is problem for you I think you can turn off shadow bounce in Mood.xml file and calculate shadows again.

Re: Glowing texture at the shadow-side
In which mood.xml-file? In the mod, which I am using? If yes, I need to create it

Re: Glowing texture at the shadow-side
Well just for calculating shadows you can use temporary ModWork folder and put your Mood.MoodSetting.xml file in ModWork/Moods/Day/ then start game and recalculate shadows on your map.ManiaDesign wrote:In which mood.xml-file? In the mod, which I am using? If yes, I need to create it
Or you can put it in the Mod zip file, then every map calculated with that mod will be without shadow bounce effect.

Re: Deactivation of Shadowbounce
Hey there again,
sadly I didn't get the result, I expected by changing some values in the Mood-XML. I figured out how I can make the Dirt-Texture 1:1 like in United, but well, I have The texture Dirt_X2 there, which is grey now and makes it look more like in United. But I can't do this with textures, which are too bright ingame. I think that's from the engine, but from the shadow-bounce too. I don't know, how I make it look like in United
Comparison:

Sorry, if I misunderstood something, but this looks crappy
