Trackmania Turbo has a new release date

Post by Cerovan »

The Trackmania series has a strong community that's at the heart of everything that we do. It's through their comments and various playtests that we have received valuable feedback for Trackmania Turbo. We take that feedback very seriously and we're committed to ensuring that our fans – both old and new – will always have the best experience possible. With that in mind, we have decided to move the release date of Trackmania Turbo to Early 2016.

During the additional months, we plan to enhance the campaign and the game's interface. Since multiplayer is such a strong component of the Trackmania experience, we also plan to continue improving Trackmania Turbo's multiplayer modes. With updated multiplayer modes comes more multiplayer testing. The extra time will give us an opportunity to make sure that the online infrastructure is stable and that the online experience is a smooth one.

We are also working on adding an extra feature that offers a new way to challenge your friends on your favorite user made tracks. This is a special mode that we think will extend Trackmania Turbo's longevity because of how it spurs competition between players.

Finally, we will be able to fine-tune the random generator feature and make the Trackbuilder even more accessible and complete. These improvements will allow the community to create more tracks that are even quicker and crazier than ever before.

The Nadeo team can’t wait to get the game into your hands, but it's important for us to also deliver the best possible Trackmania game.

Post your questions below, we'll try to answer them :)

You might want to bring it to the community here (in open/closed beta) and receive feedback that way - like you did before with other games... ;)

So TMTurbo will be delayed by a couple of months, so I assume the whole work on Maniaplanet will be delayed by at least the same amount of time? That does not sound too good to be honest.

There is a time for each thing ;)

As Turbo has a different philosophy than Trackmania², it's interesting to have more neutral opinion (without prior knowledges of the licence) about what we are developing. Moreover there is specific use cases that can be better analysed in controled environment (at the Ubisoft GameLab office) and there is the security reasons about the builds too at the moment.

@acceleracer_01: we prefer release a version as clean as possible than a rushed one and then trying to fix the possible issues at the release (for days/weeks) ;)

So why don't you give a single fuck about this game dying? The community is doing its best to keep the interest, you don't see that, do you? TM Turbo will not solve this problem!

Read this: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=31816

I haven't seen any of Nadeo guys replying to numerous posts regarding future of TM series.

Why don't you (Nadeo) push Ubisoft to promote the game? I repeat: PROMOTE THE GAME

How do you want (or actually you don't want apparently) to help this community grow bigger, if nobody knows this game?

K?

I have a bad feeling about this, you guys didn't even bother to show any more additional information and content after E3 and the Gamescom build of the game was absolutely the same, now there will be a Delay, way to go destroying any hype this game had on it's announcement, I bet when it will be released no one will even care about it anymore, not even Ubisoft, way to go NADEO. :teub:

If you guys actually spend time to make more trailers, news posts, screenshots, previews (Like with NFS 2015 for example, uploading new trailers sometimes with brand new information and content making people even more excited for it) and getting people's attention then I would understand and the community won't be as mad as we are now, but ever since E3 it has been completely silent about TMT, except for Gamescom but it was the same thing from E3, it's not even funny anymore.

I dont get it:

you said that 2015 will be year of Trackmania. We expected some stuff and improvements, but the people were salty because the only thing we got in 2015 was an announcement that we will receive trackmania 2.1 for consoles in december.

But now you wanna kick your fans even more and say that we only get Turbo in "early" 2016 ? We can expect that you will extend the deadline again and again ... so what did we get for Trackmania in year 2015? Yes we got nothing.

10/10

PS: iam still waiting for the reason i should switch from tmnf to maniaplanet. These titlesystem is so god damn aweful.
