Servers (rooms) statistics

I spend some time to write some procedures that shows something interesting about servers "diversity".

(Statistics can vary by 1-2% in number of rooms and maps)

Number of rooms: 8026
Number of all maps on rooms: 129919
it's 16,19 maps / room

Seems pretty good, right?

But...

Lets eliminate duplicate maps.

We have 9869 unique maps only
it's 1,23 map / room

9668 unique maps without Nadeo maps
which gives only 1,2 map / room!
ONE community map per room!

Community maps on servers: 16353 (12,6%)
Nadeo maps on servers: 113566 (87,4%)

Conclusion: system is not working. Large number of servers with just one map or large numer of servers with the same Nadeo maps - the only choise we have.

The solution is filter in room results "show only servers with 10+ maps" and "show only servers with community maps".

Nice work and nice effort to deliver these stats. I don't know how much time did it take but respect !

What do you mean by "duplicate maps" exactly ? Only Nadeo ? Or Nadeo + identical maps in different rooms ?

Can 1 player make multiple rooms btw ?

Duplicate maps - I mean if you made map "Player #4" then this map can be added to 23 servers, but when I say "unique" I count this map only once.

So "Nadeo maps on servers - 113566" doesn't mean that Nadeo made 113566 maps. It means that "Nadeo #42" is on many serers and I count all of them. But when I remove duplicates, it means I count "Nadeo #42" only once, as one map (so I don't care how many times is used).

So, if we have 129919 maps added on servers (the same map can be added to many servers), but only 9869 unique maps, that means lot of servers has the same maps. And they're mostly Nadeo maps - because is so easy to made server and just add every Nadeo map. Much simpler than collect good community maps.

It's just saved list of every maps on every server, without analysis, but you can easily made simply procedure to check everything.

We really need good servers and easy way to choose good community maps.

If someone wants - here are maps that are present on more than one room. Maybe something like awards. :) But it can mean also that some player made few rooms. Who knows.

Lot of players, lot of rooms. :P
(the only room page contains rooms with players - tuesday, 15:30).

But... no improvement required, right? :)
