How to make TMT on PC close completely?

Post by Zooz »

Whenever I play TMT it starts Uplay and Steam, and whenever I close TMT it does not close Uplay and Steam. How do I prevent these spyware junk programs from taking up my system resources without having to close them manually every single time? Is there a "really quit" button or a script that can do this?

Thanks!

Calling these programs spyware junk is a little bit much.

But anyway answering your question, no there is not a way to close down everything automaticly from the game itself.

That's a pity.

Well, I think it's an accurate characterization. They do not contribute anything to the game and I did not ask for them, thereby falling in the 'junk' category, and they send my personal data to a third party (Valve and Ubisoft), thereby spying. Or did the definitions of these words change?

Well technically a spyware is a virus that when it's inside your computer it tries to steal as much information as possible, your passwords, the websites you visit, the photos you share, the things you do, anything that could be confidential, Steam and Uplay on the other hand are softwares to easify the process of keeping your games and your progress saved regardless of which computer you use, it's like your own virtual game collection, it won't "spy" you because it just saves the games you buy.

But yeah I understand installing both could be a bothersome for some people, you could try atleast uninstalling Steam if possible, I think the game can work with only Uplay.

Zooz: What personal data, not related to the game, Uplay sends to Ubisoft and Valve?

edit: I see Filipe1020 write something about it (but nicer) in the same time. :)

Well these applications manages updates, friends & news, for example. It's also why Maniaplanet took some time to develop but allow for standalone application to run. Anyway, I think it's useless to debate with Zooz which seems to be negative and therefor I will lock and moderate.
