MadCatz C.T.L.R. works with menus but not in actual game.

I have a MadCatz C.T.L.R. r and it emulates a Xbox 360 controller it works in mostly every game that a 360 controller does. It works all the way up until I have to actually control a car and then it doesn't work. If I switch it to the other mode I can get it to work for some of the controls but for some reason the paddles only work in Xbox mode usually and I want to be able to use those. Does anyone have any idea how to make the controller work in the actual game? Does the regular Xbox controller work correctly? I tried replacing the XInput driver and that didn't fix the problem and cause the middle button to blue screen my computer (usually it does nothing sadly). EDIT: The same exact controller works in Xbox mode on TrackMania 2 Stadium but not TrackMania Turbo.
