Am I missing something or is it just floating screen and normal gameplay without headtracking? Can't seem to find any VR settings for HTC Vive.

There is a specific main menu called VR Experience with 40 tracks made for VR with the full immersion (not on a flat screen)

What you're describing is Steam's "theater" thing where you can play in a virtual theater, which happens if Steam thinks the game doesn't support VR.lemon wrote:Am I missing something or is it just floating screen and normal gameplay without headtracking? Might need to restart Steam to have it work properly.

Ah yes. Thanks. I don't know how I missed it.Hylis wrote:There is a specific main menu called VR Experience with 40 tracks made for VR with the full immersion (not on a flat screen)
Played first 2 tracks. Really cool. I usually get pretty bad motion sickness with weird camera movement in VR but didn't feel a thing yet.
Re: TMT VR on Oculus, Htcvive and PlayStation VR on 8 Novemb
Regarding the VR mode, just played through all 40 maps (on the Vive), got at least gold model on all of them, Trackmaster on a few, even world records on a few and I am currently 2nd in the world. (I guess this is going to change soon )
1. Camera behind the car looking in one direction feels really good. You'd expect the camera would only be inside of the car, but it switches mid-level (eg. with corners or loops or anything that changes your general direction/orientation). I like that mode, it doesn't make me feel sick at all. Very well done.
2. Camera in the car. This one makes me feel a little bit more sick, not too much though. There are some times where the camera tries to "adjust" in this mode after a turn or so, which feels unnatural and makes me sick, especially the banking rotation (left/right).
3. I definitely had some "Woooow shit" moments when playing some of the maps, really gives a whole new perspective to Trackmania for me.
4. Also lol at that top-down camera view in one of the Lagoon levels. That was unexpected.
Was also kinda hoping I could play any map in first-person view in VR, but apparently I can't?
Edit: To add, I just remembered:
5. In some of the maps you can "cut" some corners (jump over a gap on the road) but due to (I assume) the mediatracker on the maps - but if you do so, the camera turns black (like what happens when you crash into a wall) and you're respawned, while that was totally unnecessary.

MIss, did you also try the editor? Is it also in 3D? It should now be easier to see if the block you want to place has the right position
Re: TMT VR on Oculus, Htcvive and PlayStation VR on 8 Novemb
Is there any way to play the new maps without a VR device?
If not, could somebody send me a replay on each of the 40 maps please?

Even if you could it would probably be way too easy. Even the cars are slower and have different handling in VR as it appears. I streamed playing all 40 maps on Twitch when it came out but I don't save them as recordings so sadly I don'tPoutrel wrote:Is there any way to play the new maps without a VR device?
