MP version 3 was actually released, to replace the older versions, and sooner or later you won't be able to play online if all servers are also updated.
This means even if you don't see big improvements personally, you should still consider to apply the update.
Pedal wrote:Can someone confirm that MP:

-Still DX9
-Still just FXAA on nice/very nice shaders
To both points: yes. There was no change of the video engine and therefore also no new AA option.

I must admit I never paid attention to that, neither noticed it, although I have good ears and I'm very sensitive to sound artefacts and surround effects :?
Which camera are you using by default? With camera 1 there is a delay in the movement relative to the car, and this could explain the sound shift. (to be proven or confirmed, of course).

Thanks for confirming Tmarc.

As for the update I am really not an active player anymore due to the mentioned issues, that's why I have not updated the game to the new version and also why the update is needed for me, at least as for now.

With regards to the sound, in MP/TMS2 they have for sure changed the sounds/effects for road rumble and sliding. I find them way too high going on top of the engine sound making me loose contact with the engine. Even my wife commented on this saying "what's happened to the sound in the new game, it sounds completely different to the other (tmuf).....

I can understand that this effect makes sense in SM but in TMS2, in my opinion, its just misplaced.

I have made several posts about it explaining it in more detail.

Btw, I use cam2.

Quick question here:

Do you need all titles to use the Multi env. title pack? As when I go to download it, it says buy and redirects me to valley. Is it like this for everyone else?

You need all three titles/environments.

When can we expect to play the multi env. title pack on steam?
Every time i have to restart ManiaPlanet for a update.
And then nothing happens.

I can open the multi-env title pack on Steam if I select Valley as the game to play.
I don't know if it's only me, but I guess it's kind of a solution.

I'm sure that the old Env. mix bug still works.
