First try with the Mediatraker

Post by kylke »

Hello everyone,

After having watch the tutorial by DaniXks I started a small project on the mediatracker.

Since my computer is very lazy (like me), he told me that rendering 1 small video in high quality would take him a few weeks... :(

So instead of making video, I took some pictures.

They are fully rendered in Trackmania (no photoshop after).

Waiting for constructive feedback :)

See you on the tracks,
Kylke.

Hello and welcome on the forum! :thx:

Your pictures are kinda cool but if I were you I would reduce the opacity of the dirty lens effect, it brings too much blur points.

Now that you say it, I agree ^^

Thanks a lot :D

I would increase brightness or gamma to make things a bit more visible. Like Nerpson said, too much dirty lens, I'd even remove it completely. Also on the second picture, depth of field looks unnatural - when camera is very close to target object a big amount of blur will work, otherwise rather keep small amount of it at bigger distances. Also a tiny tip: try tilting the camera to left a little bit.

Overall its good.

I tried to increase the exposure of the photo but it does not really work. I would need another source of light...
Any tip on how to add a source of light ?

Oh yes indeed, I should have thought about this :)

Of course, do as you like ;) But maybe they need some improvements as pointed out by Domino54 and Nerpson. I will try to make an updated version :D

Yep I am a n00b... It was easy to increase the exposure.
The parameter Brightness in FxColors does not give good results, but the parameter Exposure in ToneMapping looks much better.

I don't understand everything yet... I am just playing with the parameters...

Still if there is a way to add a source of light I am interested

Thanks you all for your help :D
