Re: SpeedBall Title Pack Released!

Post by Soprah »

Hey,

It's been a long time since I played Speedball and I wanted to play it again, but then the error came up:
error message
In English:
'' The game was interrupted. Can't load the map. Missing items - Speedball/ball.item.gbx. Back to menu ''

It might be probably that I didn't updated the titlepack because I haven't played this titlepack for a long time. I am not sure but as far as I remember all titlepacks are auto-updated when I login into Maniaplanet so I should be able to play.. but I can't. :?

Any help is welcome!

Greetings,
Soprah

Any information about what the next update will contain?
Haven't found anything in this topic here.

Something like a little teaser would be great :)

Some Bug fix
Replacement of all (expect SignsKit) Items by new better and optimized blocks and the size of the packs will decrease from 180Mb to around 25Mb
Update of the Ball, New mods, New Cover, New Menu (Background) Some small adjustement on HUD (maybe)Image

Pause fonction ? Sounds ? New chrono system ?

Release ??? In a long time (we have stopped to work on it)

Sounds pretty good.

How do you want to decrease the titlepack size? Only by the optimized blocks? By low poly objects or what exactly? :)
In my opinion, the titlepack size isn't that important. More sigificantly is releasing new content as well as keeping quality for me. If you are able to decrease the size but still proving quality, then chapeau!

Since we have a speedball server running with unlimited teamsize we noticed that you allways get massive lag around the pole when it gets captured and there are more than 10 people playing. I also play on full battle servers where it is more crowded when only 1 pole is left so I think this this have to be a title specific bug. But I assume you already know about this problem...
