Re: TRACKMANIA 2 SNOW - Update soon!

I agree. But I need a plan to make more contrast for the blue text first. I think the overlapping isn't the actual problem. A problem could be the color/contrast, yes. I'll give the best to make it more friendly to read, but i think, I will only update it with a small bugfix-update.

Anyway, thanks :)

Hey there,

I'm sorry, that you had to wait almost 3 months to see sth. new. But finally, I'm done with the first big update, Version 1.6.1. I had some more ideas to include, but here we go with 16 main changes, which will be written below. What am I planning after this update? I have too much ideas to list here, but things like real houses, new/bigger mountains are in my minds.
Another new thing is a list of "rules" for maps, which are supposed to be on the server. I was a bit sad about some maps, because many players used it to make lol-flicker-UpsetDown-maps.
Changelog wrote:• Increased pack-size
• Improved mountains
• Improved mod - Added Cloud-Textures from Nations
• Added bigger trees
• New logo
• Temple-Texture with alphachannel
• Improved lightmaps²
• Added 5 new solo-maps
• Remade tunnels - added gate from top
• Added Canyon-Set, which is located in "Terrain"
• Improved woodroad-textures
• Added Tube-Set
• Remade Great Wall-objects
• Improved Main-Menu
• Added middle Looping-parts
How to get it? It's automatically, so just start the titlepack or visit the ingame-store.
Rules for servermaps wrote: • No flickering / placing every oblect at the same place
• No Valley-Blocks
• I wouldn't recommend the podium
• No senseless rotation of the items (= shitty look + maybe flickering)
That's all for now! An information-video will come the next days. Have fun and cu!

If you build awesome maps too, upload then on maniaexchange in the titlepack "TM2Snow" so we can add it to our server! ;D

Did you change something with the car or the ice?

I tried an old map of mine on your titlepack after the update and it suddenly seems to be a lot more difficult to turn on the ice.

I found my replay from before the update and made a little comparison with a new one. Please don't mind the quality, I just hope this helps clear things up.

Both of the videos have the cam focused on the replay from before the update.

The car after the update gains a lot more speed on the ice now. That's something that I never got with the car before the update.

I hardly angled my car in the pre-update replay to make this turn, because I never had to. The new replay never seemed to have gotten the grip to nail the turn, no matter how it angled beforehand.
