Dear friends,
after the substitution of my old HD with a new one ad re-install of Mania Planet, the game became weird.
Screen and Menus are allright but, as soon as I start my car and press fwd, it begins itself to turn left and crashes into the next wall. Arrow keys don't work correctly and restart is useless.
I've tried all possible reinstalls but nothing changes.
There's someone who can help, please?

Hi doozyoo
It seems that your keyboard assignments may have been changed.
Enter a Title (e.g. Canyon) and click on the wheel/ cog icon - top right-hand corner of screen;
Select 'Input';
Select 'Keyboard' ... I am assuming you use a keyboard but the same applies if you have a controller;
Make sure the 'Accelerate' (Shift or Up key), 'Steer left' and 'Steer right' settings are correctly assigned.
If this does not fix your problem, exit the game and go into the Launcher settings to see if the 'Exclusive keyboard capture' box has been ticked:
https://doc.maniaplanet.com/client/mani ... ion#inputs . This setting might be causing an error between the game and your system.
Good luck!

Re: TM4
Thanx... I've followed your suggestions, but it seems to be harder than this.
The keyboard assignments are all right and the "Exclusive Keyboard capture" box is not ticked, but the problem remains.
There's probably some conflict with my input devices and the game. The car starts in a straight line, but as soon as I press a key to turn or to steer, it "comes to life" (sort of) and I loose completely the control upon it.
And as if that were not enough, after a while the screen begins to flash and the only way out is CTRL+ALT+DEL. The same happens when I try to change the settings via the menu in the top-right corner.
I've already completely unistalled the game and then reinstalled it, keeping the standard settings, with nothing out the original program.

Re: TM4
Hmmm ... so:
Try deleting the configuration file 'Default.SystemConfig.Gbx' in the ManiaPlanet config folder. It will be created again when you start the game.
Also, I have seen a solution before, where a player removed GeForce Experience and this issue disappeared. Once this was fixed, that player was able to reinstall GeForce Experience and everything was ok. So worth a try if you are running that software?
If you are using NVidia drivers, is DSR turned on in the Nvidia Control Panel? If so, try turning it off.
If you have 'Unified Remote' installed on your system, is uses a virtual driver which can also interfere with hardware functions. So check your Device Manager for any 'strange' HID components.
Finally, there may be an issue with your USB devices: Drivers needing an update or multiple copies of the same device (in Device Manager).
Try physically removing any - one at a time including keyboard and mouse - to see if anything changes. * You can still start MP without a keyboard or without a mouse.
Cheers

Re: TM4
I can only suggest some things that may seem obvious but...
1) - With you computer off; unplug your keyboard, turn the power off to the pc (at the power supply) for at least 15 seconds, Reconnect the keyboard making sure the connection is a good one, turn the power supply back on and reboot. (This is assuming you have desktop pc not laptop)
2) - Make sure the key(s) are not sticking for some reason (something sticky in keyboard - damaged keyboard cover - damaged keys - etc...)
3) - Try a test in a text document to be sure it's only happening in the game. Open up a text file and see if the keys act funny moving around in it.
That's all I've got. I hope you get it figured out. It sounds frustrating.

Re: TM4
Thank you for the suggestions
If I disconnect the keyboard, the game works fine with the mouse.
With keyboard, the problem keeps annoying... I've tried with three different ones, wired and wireless. Nothing changes.
As soon as I press a key, the game acts as if I keep it pressed; menus roll infinitely and the car keeps turning in an infinitee loop with no possibility to stop it all.
I've tried to delete the keyboard driver and downloaded a new one. No change.
I've tried to download another client, reinstall Nvidia drivers and so on... No change.
I'm a little bit upset.

I'm assuming you checked my suggestions above ^ viewtopic.php?f=631&t=44366&p=300051#p300007 ^. I'm also assuming that your keyboard (all keys) functions properly in all other programmes.
I wonder whether you did a fresh. clean install of Windows etc on your new Hard Disk Drive or maybe you used (e.g.) Migration Assistant or some third party software to transfer all data from the old drive to the new one. Migrating may have created some corrupted files... Just a thought.
So, in case it's the game software which is causing this, due to corrupt/ damaged files, maybe a full clean reinstall?
1. Uninstall Maniaplanet - * make sure you don't lose your account details!
2. Delete the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\ManiaPlanet ... Yes, this folder might still be present after uninstalling the programme.
3. Delete the folder: C:\ProgramData\ManiaPlanet .... This folder may be hidden in normal Windows Explorer
4. Delete the contents of the folder: C:\Users\YOU\Documents\ManiaPlanet\Config
5. Reboot. then install Maniaplanet, making sure to turn OFF all antivirus software for the installation.
If all your hardware is properly connected, drivers are up-to-date, antivirus is not allowed to interfere with installation process, this should surely fix your problem. Good luck mate!
Cheers

Re: TM4
The issues were already there in TMUF when using Saitek controllers with Saitek drivers.
Apparently Windows had installed the typical HID drivers automatically and the additional drivers from Saitek were interfering. At least with Trackmania...
Removing the Saitek driver or the Microsoft HID driver in the Device Manager typically helped.
No reinstall of Windows nor of Trackmania required.
Perhaps it is something similar here, perhaps totally different.
Btw. good hints, nighthawk4571

Re: TM4
Thanks TMarc but I'm just about out of new ideas myself, although I think there may a clue with that keyboard drivers behaviour. So, like Demented, I look forward to hearing if there's a breakthrough. This one's a bit of a headache.
Cheers.
