I also got audio issues somehow in other game few months ago.
No fixes worked, until I reinstalled Windows. From that day, everything worked nicely.
If Nadeo won't find a way around this, I'd personally recommend reinstallation of OS.

The audio issue started happening after MP updated to 4.1 though, which means Nadeo can fix this. Reinstalling my OSes isn't an option right now.

Not necessarily the case - the switch to 64 bit could've changed some behavior of libraries/drivers on your system. I don't know if you've already tried the 32 bit version though.

32 bit version doesn't produce any sound either.

Aaaaand I found out something important right now.
If I delete the OpenAL_bundled dll files, I get sound, but the game asks for an update, in which case the files get re-downloaded and I lose sound again.
If I try copying the OpenAL32.dll files from my Windows\System32 and Windows\SysWOW64 folders, and put them in the MP folder, replacing the existing dlls, I do get sound, and MP doesn't try to replace the dlls.
So now I do have sound and can play normally.

Seems like either I have weird OpenAL dll files installed, or Maniaplanet downloads faulty OpenAL dlls.
I can upload my OpenAL dll files if necessary.

Quick update: There is sound in Maniaplanet menus, but no engine sounds in game ;_;
Also found out that with my OpenAL dll files present, going into Advanced Options in the launcher crashes it.

I get a old OpenAL32 from Manaiplanet v3. Copy this file som 32 and 64 in the folder. It worked for me.

Even with V3, everything works but without the Engine sound.
But it does not crash into Advanced Options in the launcher.

Hope they can fix the file so you can get Engine sounds as well.

After updating to build 2018-12-19_14_21, audio issues were resolved.

Hmmm... Seems like it only got resolved on my desktop PC, but not on my laptop. At the least I can play on one of the computers.

I get this as well, on my desktop.
Replacing OpenAL 32 bit dll with the one in system32 (and running 32 bit maniaplanet) fixes sound but triggers an update, so no current fix for me as the google drive link is down and my old MP3 openAL DLLs in my backup drive seem to be the same, as no difference happens.
