Openplanet for dedicated servers coming soon

Post by Miss » 29 Aug 2019, 11:27

Hi all!

I'm finally releasing Openplanet for dedicated servers soon. (Windows + Linux!)

There will have to be some testing to make sure everything works as expected, especially on the Linux build. If you have any interest in testing, please join us on Discord and let me know!

Couldn't possibly say at this point. But since Openplanet's primary purpose is exposing its internal API to scripts, it should technically allow to do a lot of different things.

One possible application I've been looking into is to allow map sizes with unlimited filesize (rather than the currently-imposed 4 MB limit), which kind of already works!

Hi,

As I'm new to Openplanet and would like to see this feature make all tracks work on my server no matter the build. Stadium so far. I do however only use it when I am on playing or doodling. Not 24/7 which I know might be your preferred.

If its easy to attach to the server for a lamer like me. Then I would like to try this function.

As I seen a really cool function today with the moving parts. Plugin. So if it is easy I am willing to try. My easy is maybe 'erm step by step info'. :roflol: .

Kindest regards.

Ps. I did not read anywhere else just added to post. if I am late here sorry guys.

I don't think you need the moving blocks plugin on the serverside, actually. Might just work as-is when you put those maps on a server. Haven't tested myself.
