A videos contest on ManiaPlanet!

Hello everyone,

Creation is the heart of ManiaPlanet, and videomakers are living proof of this since the first TrackMania.

That’s why we’re happy to announce that starting today, we will be holding the first official video contest for the ManiaPlanet games.

There are three categories, one for each ManiaPlanet game:

• TM² Stadium Open Beta = $400 Amazon Giftcard
• TM² Canyon = $400 Amazon Giftcard
• SM Storm = $400 Amazon Giftcard

For a grand total of three different winners, and $1200 worth of gift cards for Amazon.

There are only four rules:

• You must use the ManiaPlanet music (see below, no limititation to number of tracks, remixes allowed)
• You can only submit one video (partication is only allowed for one category)
• You can not use copyrighted material
• Format of the final video: 720p or 1080p, H264, .mp4, Stereo sound

Everything else is entirely up to you, including length, concept and scenes used. We will favor quality over length, so do not make videos that are too long for nothing!

Moreover, the videos of the winners will be revealed during the ManiaGala at the end of March and then available on the ManiaPlanet Youtube channel.

You have until the March 25th 11:59PM CET/5:59PM EST/2:59PM PST to send your video to contest@nadeo.com with the following subject “ManiaGala Video Contest – TITLENAME(Canyon/Stadium/Storm) – YOURNAME” with a download link your video (do not insert it as an attchment).

Wow, that's a cool contest. Sadly I'm heading for my final exams right now, so I have no time to work on something. But I'm excited to see with what the community can come up with

In my University I have exams, too. So you will not see a video from me.

But in Germany final exams in this period of time in grammar schools. So many people have no time for video making. That's sad.

If I get the time I'll be taking a shot at it. Really cool competition and I like that it's divided into three categories.

The maniamusic is great but I was hoping to be able to choose yourself (as long as you have the rights of course) since the game music doesn't really fit my editing style. It's going to make it a tough challenge though. If only I mastered the skills of music producing and remixing. Anyway, great stuff!

I am not sure how good will maniaplanet music work with that video..

IMO the good videomaker can master all styles, so someone with pro-synced eding may not always be the best
