As per ping test here and my forum thread here init.maniaplanet.com does not seem to be responding. I have not been able to connect since 07/11/2013.

Update for magnetik, funktion9 problem is solved: it was ZonelAlarm, which was blocking ManiaPlanet after the recent changes of the menus with favorite game server details etc. :|

Can't login (searching for masterserver)

after checking http://maniaplanet.com/status it shows
mp01.maniaplanet.com - issue detected (in red)

Yep i can not connect too. Looks like there is a problem with mp01.maniaplanet.com server.
My specs:
MOBO: MB AM3+ 970 Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
CPU: AM3+ AMD FX-8320E
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX750-Ti ASUS 2GB DDR5
RAM: DDR3 8GB 1866MHz Kingston HyperX
SSD: SATA3 120gb SanDisk
OS: Ubuntu 19.04

Its not only mp01 my account searches for mp05

I don't care what that site says.
I have 2 accounts , 1 wants to connect to mp03 , other wants to connect mp05 and both fail.
