When are you going to finish Trackmania²?

Hello Nadeo ;)

*I would like to address here some subject and questioning, in a serious way, this is not a troll.

-My first question is in the subject of this position.
I approach this subject in a general way and in a serious and honest way.

-Since Mp3, Mp4 and Mp4.1, there have been many problems for the experience of all the players gathered. ( bugs ( internal, external), crashes, etc..
-Since 2015 and on a personal basis the game is not over for me.

So my question is: When are you going to finish (Fixe) Trackmania² ?

Ps :I am writing this post in public to share nadeo's response with the community

Sincerely
Jak-Jak

They're constantly fixing bugs. I think the short answer to your question is - when they release TrackMania 3, whenever that may be. Or whenever they release their next game, whatever that might be.

thank you for your answer Miss. ;)

My request and general, there is no question here of fixing some bugs, but to fix trackmania² because the game is not fixed ( I'm serious ).

Thank you.

Then you should report bugs you encounter and/or bump threads of bugs you think have importance.

Sorry, I'll repeat myself, but in general the bugs are not fixed. :/

This is a statement of fact, not a judgment.

Sincerely !

Then please, make bug report threads and/or bump the threads where existing bugs are reported.

Hello, ;)

I don't think you understand my subject here for this position.

I'm talking about trackmania problems in general from mp3 to today:

**There are 8 pages with 25 uncorrected problems per page just for Mp4.1 = (about 200 subject) :
viewforum.php?f=659

**There are 5 categories of pages including 16 subcategories of topics related to the problems not fixed here in mp4.1 beta (about 525 subject ): viewforum.php?f=633

**It would also be necessary to add the problems related to the version of Mp2-Mp3 that are still present in mp4.1

So my question is: When are you going to finish Trackmania²?

Sincerely !

Hylis wrote this on the shootmania section of the forum :

I read it all. It's just that there is nothing to say at the moment.

Last week an small update has been made to enable some dev. The games is 6 years old and like you said, there is not a lot of players on it. Hard to invest all our time in it. So, we move forward with what we can, try to fix stuff, not break too much others. I don't think many games have still dev after so many years with such player base. And for some players to be here, I see this as something encouraging that we have something into the way we do things, with off course many big things to address at the same time.

We can not announce things at the moment and I don't expect to do it soon : many months, a year, more, I really don't know. Discussions on a weekly basis is difficult to have in this case. Maybe something more meaningful would be done on SM Storm by then but I can not say if yes or no even if I know it would be better to have a clear yes or no.

So, ... never ?

@ JakJak:
I understand the point you are after and kind of agree with this to some degree.
There are quite a few little bugs and issues that I think have just been set aside and half forgotten because they are not big priorities that would be nice if one or two devs could just take some time and address.
These things aren't game breakers per say but nonetheless issues such as:
- Recording a mediatracker ghost (not validation run) still ends with Validate and quit rather than showing the replay or offering a way to save it.
- Validation runs don't show ghost runs or anything to compare times to.
- Lagoon Podium still has missing geometry on sides.
- Canyon terrains still have gaps in geometries.
- Selecting multiple replays doesn't offer "Edit" option unless you select one replay first.
- Loading and viewing more than one replay at a time doesn't show mediatracks, just default replay.
This is just a very short list of examples of some things that are not big problems but have been there for quite some time. As most know there are quite a few more that have been there for quite a while. And most of these are things that worked in the past but with updates have been broken.
I know there are a lot of newer game aspects that need top priorities but it would be nice get a couple of people to take a little time to knock these things out.
Maybe players can create a list of, not new bugs and issues, and not major problems, but things they feel have persisted for quite some time and should be given a little priority. I think just a month taken to slam some of these things out would be greatly appreciated by players. ;)

This has been done before, numerous times - remember the "post your urgent bugs here" threads? It just ends up with everyone copy pasting every bug they ever reported. It doesn't really work, as none of those bugs really are urgent, they're just "urgent" to those people personally.

I've said it before elsewhere - Nadeo should probably make a public bugtracker somewhere that users can report bugs to, and have someone at Nadeo maintain it continuously. (eg. mark duplicates, mark priority, categorize, assign, etc.) It's a lot better solution than posting all the issues on the forum.

While we do not have such a handy bugreporter, I suggest you continue to bump the most important bug report threads, and trust that Nadeo prioritizes accordingly.
