Why is Elite and Joust mode an actual diffrent game in the Maniaplanet?
Its quite confusing tbh. Have these been there before Storm came out?
Im a bit confused to the point of a conspiracy that just kept me from noticing!

Re: Elite Mode
I think, because those are distinctively different.
1) Storm allows up to many (?64?) players.
2) Elite is 3v3 battle.
3) Joust is 1v1 duel.
4) Due to competitive nature of Elite and Joust, mods have no place there, although they're major part of Storm.
5) Many play SM only for Elite and the e-sports, so the ranking can be easily messed up, if you try to evaluate hardcore Elite players and just casual Storm 'pew pew guys' on the basis of the same scale.

Re: Elite Mode
I thought it was because of the 'aplha' status of those mods. But you're probably right.

Re: Elite Mode
I think this is just because of the way ManiaPlanet are doing menus. These menus are simple, so having "3 different game" was the way to keep it simple.

It allows up to 255kalstrams wrote:1) Storm allows up to many (?64?) players.

Re: Elite Mode
255 spartans, oh, I mean stormers...
Re: Elite Mode
That would be the incredible killing
One round in melee e.g. will last for about 1 min
But it would be funny.
