TM2 Stadium to have same tracks as TMNF?

Will TM2 Stadium have the same single player campaign tracks as TMNF?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say no. It probably won't have the same campaign tracks.

Every time Stadium has been brought into a new game, we've got a new solo campaign, or new Stadium tracks as part of the campaign. I don't see any reason why they would break with tradition.

For example:
TMN ESWC solo campaign (first solo campaign for Stadium)
TMU solo campaign (with new Stadium maps)
TMUF solo campaign (with new A difficulty Stadium maps)
TMNF solo campaign (with a brand new solo campaign)

Nadeo still has "level designers" as part of their team. I'm sure they're hard at work doing what they get paid to do.

I'm very excited to play a new campaign!

Nadeo don't know for the moment if TMNF maps will be compatible, it works but some problems can appear when the game will be finished like shadows.

I'd reckon it will be the same as from Sunrise to TMUF. Open the track, compute shadows and save. I can't remember if revalidation was needed.

The difference is that, in TM2, the lightmaps are included in the map file. This is a break with how things were done in all previous TM games, where the lightmap was calculated by the end user, not the author.

So Stadium tracks from TMN and TMNF do not have lightmaps included in the map file, as I imagine they will for TM2S.

I would think the ideal scenario is to develop a tool specifically to allow anyone to convert a TMN/TMNF map to TM2S. The tool would open the map, calculate shadows on the desired setting, and resave the map for use in TM2. The tool would preserve the author time and the author login and only update the map file so that it includes the lightmap. The tool would even work if the track was passworded by the author, because you would not be changing anything about the track, except updating it for use in TM2.

Of course if you shared the same login with the original author, then you should be allowed to also edit the track.
