Lol no, this is actually the beta of ManiaPlanet 2.x, the release version might be 2.3 probably ;)

Afterall the Core 2 Quad is not an i7 but you are able to compute as fast as my configuration. The proof your graphic card is better for kind of computing ^^

BTW, if u didn´t realized yet, Ati have higher computing power in Tflop/s (theoretical) but nvidia is faster in some or most games!?

U also could try Octane demo and keep monitoring cpu usage while the gpu is rendering.
there u would come to the example of optimum cuda usage and the most importand thing;
cpu speed do not indicate the speed of a GPU.
edit: sry, of course u need cuda GPU :)
