Hi.
I would like to address a question I've been asking myself, but I cant find the answer.
So i saw that Tm2 was finally realeased, thrilled since I'm a big fan of united.
Either way when i went to purchase it on Steam, i found that there are 2 different games on there, Stadium and Canyon, and here on maniaplanet there are 3, Valley included. Do i have to ech game seperately or is every game included in the canyon pack on steam for €19.99?
I thank you kindly if you answer my question!

canyon and valley cost 20, stadium costs 10 (atm 9). every one of them has to be bought separately.

So €50 for all three? That kinda sucks imo ._.Omnixor wrote:canyon and valley cost 20, stadium costs 10 (atm 9). every one of them has to be bought separately.
Thanks anyways!
Re: 3 Games?
Later there will be Valley and some more titles
I would not consider Nadeo games being too expensive, compared to other games.
And this might be the best option with ManiaPlanet anyways: you are never forced to purchase all games at the same time, so you can save your money for the titles you're interested in the most.

And guess what. Valley isn't probably the last tm2 environment, so not 50€, but even more.

Over the last 5 years, we will have released in some months: Trackmania² Canyon + Shootmania Storm + Trackmania² Stadium + Trackmania² Valley. Instead of making sequels, we try to keep a collection alive and I don't think we should be accused of trying to keep the soon 2 years old Canyon alive in Maniaplanet. Of course, the whole collection price is going up. I find it more logical that the guy who really enjoy and want all would pay more than the guy that is ok with only one environment. Because, at the same time, each environment, for €10 or €20 comes with a complete set of features. If average buyer buys 2 environments, it makes between €30 and €40 for 5 years of dev. I understand that it looks costly, but it is more adapted, low and high, to the desire or usage of players: low or high.

You're so kindkamyl wrote:inb4TMarcblindlydefendingubisoftandnadeoandstuff

I am not defending Nadeo, it was just my personal opinion about prices of games in general.
Please stop this idiotic behavior, and act as good moderator. You have been warned

Re: 3 Games?
If I'm still waiting for Half Life 2: Episode Three, I can wait for anything. ^^,
And then, I really doubt that the game would cost 70€ (or more, right?). Maybe I'm wrong here, but all these most expensive AAA games don't cost more than 50€. Some examples - these games cost 50€ on release date: Max Payne 3, Skyrim, Tomb Rider. And even great games doesn't have to cost that much and in many cases they don't. Even so awesome ARMA 3 costs 25€ now and will be 45€ on release, not mention about Valve games, that are almost perfect and way cheaper (but still, for example Portal 2 for short time after release cost 50€, but now, after 2 free DLC it's 20€, not including countless steam sales).
I will be happy to spend some money when TrackMania2 is complete, if anyone will be still playing it at all.

Re: 3 Games?
First of all I'm defending nobody with my next statement other then TM itself. Not on behalve of Nadeo but on behalve of realizm.
I don't know any of the games you mention above but:
How many different environments do they have?
Does any of them have a powerfull editor or an even more powerfull mediatracker.
Do any of these games accept user generated content like TM does?
Do these games still catch your imagination like TM does after 5 or 7 years?
An organization like Steam/Valve makes a lot of money selling on games they didn't develop themselves so it's not strange they probably have the budget to sell games at a lower price.
€20,- is peanuts for the complete and awesome game TM is.
