So here's the deal. We have our ManiaLink 'Bazinga' with lots of different stuff on it. We also have a simple guestbook on it. It's a simple textbox with a send-button.
I wrote a message and hit send and then clicked away the ManiaLink to keep playing the game. What happened was that every time I hit Enter when in the game, wether it was just hitting Enter or using Enter to send messages ingame, it re-posted the same message in our guestbook.
This is a sign of some serious poor coding on your part.
Maniabrowser-to-game bug.

You should know it better that you should post this in the Beta reports, don't you!?

Where is the deal? You should not use expressions you're not familiar withsadzealot wrote:So here's the deal.

I think you should stop posting in the english section of the forum. You've proven time and time again you don't fully understand or comprehend the english language.dreammyw0w wrote: PS : "Here's the deal." was used in a proper way
I'm sick and tired of your posts to me that are absolutely bullshit complaining about my language when it's in fact you who are in the wrong every single time regarding the english language.
You go on about me not being respectful and friendly, yet you post stuff like this when I'm posting a bug-report? Seriously, go look in a mirror.
Also, it's not unncessary commenting on poor coding decisions when there's so many of them all throughout the game. If you can't deal with someone pointing out the obvious, then close the forum. Or grow a thicker hide.
Here's some more examples of absolutely terrible coding from the beginning of (and by terrible coding, I mean this stuff shouldn't have entered the game in the first place, but it did).
- When messing about in interface settings, it often reverts back to default crosshair and size when clicking apply/ok.
- Typing numbers 1-3 in chat affects attackorder (or weapon-selection for that matter) during warmup. Another example of input overlapping between places it shouldn't. (poor coding from the start)
- When changing from spectator to player it doesn't automatically put you in the correct team (team with less than 3 players), yet if you join a server directly as a player, you get placed in the team with less than 3 players.
- Y-scale is set to 0.4 by default (not a bug, but come on... really?)
- ALT-key which is meant to bring up cursor also brings up scoreboard.
- The coding of the FullJump button.
- Players going to spectator still had player slot reserved.
And the list just goes on.

More like consistence in my eyes. The way they "solve" issues by not addressing the actual issue but just slap on something more in several cases is very consistent with bad coding choices. The way they still have textformatting bugs in the game that even rolled over from TM and been known for years is consistent.
and so on and so forth...

can't agree more!! (regarding the TMarc-related part)sadzealot wrote:[...]
about the coding stuff i can only say: it's a beta! so you shouldn't complain about mistakes being done, that some of them haven't been fixed yet is another topic though

Re: Maniabrowser-to-game bug.
sadzealot, you're overreacting here, as your answer is personally offending and absolutely inappropriate here
You better stop your apparent unfriendly behavior from now on,
or this won't be just a friendly warning anymore
Am I clear? The only answer I'm accepting now is "Yes, Sir!"
I think my English is good enough so you are able to understand this properly
As "official translator", you should anyways be more patient and indulgent against those who are not native speakers, instead of being artificially upset when someone dares to question anything.
After all, you're questioning many things yourself here, so where is the matter?
Why do you think I did use smileys above? You're all are taking it much too seriously.
Besides this I did not write anything against the the bug you have observed.
Please never forget it is a game after all.
As Steeffen also just wrote precisely, it's beta test time, and because of this, the work on TrackMania² is not the highest priority (this was also clearly admitted by Nadeo).
I'm also not very happy about the delays, but this and the existing bugs are still not a reason to constantly call them names or write all the time they're doing rubbish.
It is always very easy to point at things / persons and to complain, but it is never this easy to make it better oneself.
Unfriendly posts are sad disappointing, and tend to be skipped very quickly by the devs. This is not Nadeo, this is simply human.
If you can pinpoint a bug or something which is really annoying you, I understand it is not always easy to keep cool, especially if it is a crash and you just night have lost a few hours of "work".
Despite the sudden anger you might have, still it is highly recommended and more than welcome to be polite and factual if you want improvements and want to maintain a good communication.
If you think Nadeo is doing bad, it is not by accusing them it will get better, we all have to give a better example so they can possibly learn as well
And as this here is not the only bug they have to fix among the most asked improvement requests, the developpers certainly don't have easy job.
A bit more of comprehension and patience is certainly advised here
For the "old" TM and Canyon issues, we still can use the current Open Beta Reports threads to remind Nadeo of things they might have forgotten
And now, please get back to the topic
P.S. you're welcome to correct my English so I can dramatically improve my poor knowledge

*g* yeah, missed that one
Luckily I did not write "smiley's"

Re: Maniabrowser-to-game bug.
Why is everyone trying to defend the game with "it's beta" when we already passed initial release date and had RC1. See it for what it is, promotional.
