[B3.1] Crash in editor

Post by qweytr »

I was building a canyon track when ManiaPlanet suddenly crashed to desktop as I tried to test-drive it.

Is it reproducible?
Please try again using the debug version:
LuckyBoy wrote:a) download
http://files.maniaplanet.com/ManiaPlane ... 7_Logs.zip
b) unzip the ManiaPlanet_Logs.exe in your install folder, then run this exe instead the launcher
c) set the game in windowed (not fullscreen)
d) play 'till you get the 'not responding' issue
e) execute ManiaPlanetLauncher while the game is frozen, it should ask you if you want to terminate the game, say yes (in other cases than yours the game could be frozen for a "good" reason like loading)
f) send us back the generated crash log here.

ok :|
If it happens again, please try to remember what you were doing exactly, e.g. which block you placed newly etc.

I remember having exactly this crash as well. I already had it several times in total, but I was never able to reproduce it :?
Somehow I think it would be very very useful for Nadeo if they'd track all the stuff you're building and put the information in a Log file, although the performance might be a little slower. In the end it should pay out though! Especially in Beta they should do this imho

Did you participate in a Monthly Track Contest yet?

Did you both use the new (shallow) water blocks in those tracks?

My track had shallow water with the higher mountains on it. On the mountain, there was some hills with the new trees and some GP blocks. I think I tried every possible combination of these blocks, but I couldn't reproduce it.

I don't think it's the combination of blocks but the water itself.

On your testdrive, were you driving towards the water where it showed up for the first time when the game crashed?

I started the test-drive on a mountain surrounded by water. The game crashed instantly after the start of the test-drive.
