When i start MP TM2 Stadium i am informed that a compulsary update is available "Shootmania 1.0 RC1. Do you want to download the update and upgrade the game ?"
My answer to that question is NO, i don't want to download Shootmania 1.0 RC1, i want to play Stadium, but the options are only "Update now" or "Quit the game".
Does this update also include updates for Stadium?

It actually does some updates to the ManiaPlanet environment that affects TrackMania as well.
So you need to do it

Ok, thank you for the replies.
So basically, Nadeo needs to be more accurate, updates for Maniplanet when you start the game and updates for each specific game/title/station when you launch that sounds the most logical to me.
thanks anyways.

Re: Compulsary update: Shootmania 1.0 RC1
I am having a problem with this update as steam is not downloading the update after clicking on that prompt and exiting the game. Is there another way to manually download this update so I can actually play?
Re: Compulsary update: Shootmania 1.0 RC1
That's exactly what happens (The actual SM update was another 320MB), but nadeo doesn't write separate changelogs for some reason...Pedal wrote:Ok, thank you for the replies.

Re: Compulsary update: Shootmania 1.0 RC1
Yeah, and they don't specify their updates correctly neither.....an update for ManiaPlanet should, as i see it, be named "a compulsary update for ManiaPlanet".....MPeti wrote: nadeo doesn't write separate changelogs for some reason...
Regardless, as i understand from a previous poster, this was en error. However, i do feel that this type of thing should get more attention from Nadeo moving forward with more titles/stations coming...everybody will not will have all of them....
Re: Compulsary update: Shootmania 1.0 RC1
Agreed. It would be very nice to have a nice and detailed bug fix report. Saves us a lot of checking after every update.Pedal wrote:Yeah, and they don't specify their updates correctly neither.....an update for ManiaPlanet should, as i see it, be named "a compulsary update for ManiaPlanet".....MPeti wrote: nadeo doesn't write separate changelogs for some reason...

On the other hand, if you can only chose between install and quit, you can be asured you really need the update, regardless of its name

Re: Compulsary update: Shootmania 1.0 RC1
Thanks for that but again, this just proves my Point further;
Moving forward with more games/stations Nadeo cannot expect everybody to own all the games/stations and/or browse all parts of this forum.
Updates/support to Maniaplanet should be implemented and informed when launching the application and informed in the Maniaplanet-part of the forum.
Updates/support to the different games/stations should be implemented and informed when launching that specific title and informed in the corresponding part of the forum.
