settings questions

Post by lightdarkness » 22 Apr 2013, 13:37

Theres a lot of little things that i'd love to be able to optimize so i was wondering if i can do it in a file somewhere in the game directory. For example the bright light you see when exiting dark tunnels sometimes makes rockets really hard to see. Or when u force blue skin on enemies and red skin on allies and you get in the blue team while enemies on the red team it gets really confusing because your allies skin is red but they're name is in blue (not nickname but the bar in which its written) and the enemy is blue skin and red namebar :(

Would be awesome to have a CFG, sadly though NADEO seems to persistently wanna do things their own peculiar way without giving a sh*t about community needs or others competitive games out there, so we will not have a CFG nor we will have a console...

If they really were to listen to the community, we wouldn't still have beta 3...
No companies really listen to the community (as far as my experience with online gaming goes), though there are some (Valve for example) that still do things right.

BTW i don't "whine", i just point out things that do not works IMO, and that's because i like the game and i want it as much perfect-working as possible. ;)

We will pracc... someday... probably...

its not bloom, its a game mechanic that makes the game seem more realistic but makes rockets almost invisible at places and it cant be turned off from settings and i force colours because in that situation red rockets are literally invisible while blue rockets are somewhat easier to see.

I stand corrected. What exactly is this effect you're talking about because I have no problem seeing rockets. What graphics options are you running on?

lowest for max fps (quake players :D) but i can change it no prob if i need to. On some elite maps there are tunnels and when you exit them u get the effect like your eyes are used to the dark and u go out to light like in real life. At that moment everything is rly bright so i cant see the rockets.
