I had this now two times. When I press alt-tab while ingame, the game crashes to the desktop without an error.
When I start the launcher again, a crashlog is produced.
Download crashlog one: http://www.webrail.eu/downloads/LogCrash_00BF260D-1.txt (sorry, I had to rename it, both log files had the same filename, but a different time stamp).
Download crashlog two: http://www.webrail.eu/downloads/LogCrash_00BF260D.txt
Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
CPU: Intel Core i7 3820 @ 3,6 Ghz
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 660
RAM: 8 GB Quad-channel DDR3
HDD: 64 GB SSD drive (ManiaPlanet location) + 4x 500 GB 'normal' hard drives
Sound card: Creative X-Fi Titanium
When you need more info, please ask. I never had a problem before with alt-tab while ingame, so I assume it has something to do with Valley.

[Dx9] !! D3DERR_DEVICELOST !!

Re: [Valley] Crash to desktop with Alt-Tab
I think that is normal behavior, but of course I'm not a developer (and not sure about it): I switch back to the 2D desktop and therefor the ManiaPlanet program "loses" the 3D device.
But like I said, I'm not sure about that
Edit: I've tried it again with the "logs" version of ManiaPlanet, and I don't have the problem with that version, but there is also a "[Dx9] !! D3DERR_DEVICELOST !!" in the log file (without crash). So it looks like that log entry is not directly related to the game crash.
