Re: MAPS FOR ESWC
What a silly troll..
There is hope after all
Time for the community to take shootmania to another level.
ESWC, I wish you the best of luck getting through all the hateful comments in the future, after having seen how most of these people behave..
Good luck and remember to have fun to everyone!

Re: MAPS FOR ESWC
A lot of good points here, and I think people are taking things too personally (perhaps on both sides).
The main point I'd like to discuss is why does anybody think that the new reload times is going to deter "defensive camping"? Losing 1 defender who pokes out/pushes up too much is bad enough against a good attacker, now with the increased reload times, it just makes it even more risky for more than 1 person to be "out" at a time, and risking being double killed instantly. Not to mention the reload times on new blocks which throws off the timing of peek-shotting to begin-with, that was pretty easy to sort out when it was just those metal paths that reloaded faster, now these new maps have red blocks all over, and nobody is going to be out just watching the attacker unless we get a fence to hide behind (not eswc criteria?
)
Honestly I think more skill-based weapons would be interesting from a spectator and player standpoint, not just altering reload times on different surfaces and allowing for quick reload on kills. What if the attacker had some kind of grenade he could throw that would temporarily make the defender not able to sprint, then it's easy for him to sprint around the fence or what-have-you and kill them? I just pulled that out of my butt, but to me it seems there are other methods such as this to alleviate "camping" without taking away all the maps we enjoy playing already. Proper position and teamwork on defense is fun to me, I don't see it as camping. Defenders in soccer are on the back line, that's where they belong, nobody calls them campers and nobody complains about spectating it (well maybe some italian matches ;p )

I'm just expressing my opinion because i truly understand why those change were made, and it's just boring to see everytime people (not you) just saying "Hylis does not listen to us and he is killing this game" (us meaning something like less then 10 people, though they automatically call themselves "the community").
Supporting it was important, because it's mostly arrogant trolls that we hear the louder on those threads.
