Hey guys,
So I love playing TMNF and I want to get one of the pay-to-play versions... But i have a few questions.
Which version has the most online players? (in the US?) If i got Valley can i play the multiplayer with people who have canyon? If i have valley will i have the same maps as the people who have canyon? Does the multiplayer from valley match you with people from stadium/canyon?
Also, the front page of the Tm website says that Stadium is "now in open beta"; is that just an old update? )or is the 10$ version of stadium just the beta? Can stadium players play with canyon/valley?
Do all the games have ladder points? Do they have separate ranks for each game?

canyon/valley/stadium are all separate games, with different blocks and cars (so far only account and buddies are common), so you obviously can't play any two environments together. and stadium beta is over. and separate ladders for every game.
stadium has the biggest amount of players, like twice more than canyon. and canyon has twice more players than valley. http://www.serverviewer.mania-server.ne ... statistics

if you play tmnf, you don't need stadium because it's the same with some new blocks and better lighting (and this stuff costs 10 euros).
If you like good visual design, buy Valley. If you like drifting and dynamic drives, buy Canyon.

Wow, at the time of this posting Stadium has 50 players online?
It seems like TMNF has thousands constantly... so maybe i should just stick with the free version?
This game has the potential to grip 10,000,000 players; but the trackmania BUSINESS has hamstrung the game's popularity with poor marketing...so sad... i wish i could race hundreds of people; it's good enough of a game to be as popular as dota/lol/runescape and the other free-to-play games... but nobody has even heard of trackmania; it's not even on Steam's official list of free-to-play, you have to like specifically search for it otherwise you'll never find it even if you search through all the dozens of pages of their 'free game' section..
bah...

It seems obvious that from your first post and the one above that you haven't read into many topics regarding TM2...Plowplowplow wrote:Wow, at the time of this posting Stadium has 50 players online?

Canyon/stadium and Valley are all in 'released' form and are regularly receiving updates to better improve many things in which the 'community' ask for.
You also only seem to concern yourself with info only in regards to 'online' gameplay. There are many thousands of TM players that perhaps only spend 10% online and the rest in offline gameplay. Building tracks , playing around in the editor , creating within the media tracker , etc , etc is also a very large part of TM for many people. Visiting a site such as MX/TMX is a great place to try literally thousands of uploaded tracks , from a vast array of track builders , from the various envi's . Many of these tracks end up on servers for everyone to drive..

Its also obvious from your first post that you've never even purchased any other games from TM1 - original/sunrise/TMU/TMUF , etc..

Unfortunately , Nadeo and their team of graphics designers , engineers , coders/writers and other various staff aswell as the building/premises of which they occupy all costs money. These people have mouths to feed and bills to pay also.
So this is perhaps why TMNF has had such a higher number of players and that TM2 has less because there are just too many f**kin' cheapskates out there who seem to want everything for free.
So sad,too bad, only people who are willing to pay a small amount ( > $10 + $20 + $20) for can get to enjoy the full potential that TM2 offers ..

Re: A couple questions about the 3 separate "expansions" for
It's clear from your post that your a condescending ***.
I *have* read into a TON of topics regarding TM2; none of my questions were even answered on the trackmania homepage, and they were all nearly impossible to search for.
and yeah, i do mostly concern myself with "online" play; so what? 50 players online is too low; it would be way more fun racing with 100s+ per server... and I like how you just pulled a random number out of your *** like "there are thousands more who play offline and make maps"... really? you know this? Or did you just make it up to make the game seem less deserted? Seems like any online-capable game with only 50 people online is completely dead.
It's obvious i haven't bought any other games, and people who don't buy the full version are cheapskates, you say? What a fat load of ***. I played trackmania like a decade ago and it's like the exact same game with a barely updated engine; you could probably get 1 dude to run trackmania out of his basement better than the current development team.
Of course I'm not going to waste my *** money on canyon, stadium, or valley; you think I'm a cheapskate for that? I think you're an idiot for wasting money on such a mis-managed franchise; they're lucky I'll take an hour out of my day to play their simple *** game. Why the *** would i pay for valley, then pay for canyon, then pay for stadium; because they are "different environments"? that is f***ing retarded; they split up the community and it died; trackmania isnt half the game it was nearly a decade ago; nobody plays, nobody knows the game, the community is split; this is ***; and here you are acting like a damn fool; go ***
