In fact, I think that those pictures are Killaprod's.

Everybody can do this tweak by the MediaTracker by putting the red cursor to 0, and enjoy seeing the Stormman's mouth moved :pop:

I must warn about the release date here.

One concern is about the Gamers Assembly need of a stable version for the nice competitions happening. Shootmania is one of the most popular tournament, with already 40 registered teams, and I don't want it to become under trouble of a big update.

So, the idea would be to release everything in one time, just after the Gamers Assembly (19th to 21st of april) but to still open the universal demo after, once it's stabilized.

We still have work to do. Our main work is dedicated to enable players to move forward themselves. I think that the store + universal demo are the two main advantages of the next update, on top of a better system & creative possibilities.

Our target was in 2 weeks, but I think that 4 would have been better. Now, it's 8 weeks, because it includes the Gamers Assembly.

In fact, my hope is to be capable to start a closed beta in 3-4 weeks, with some players, but I can not say we will do it. If we can do it, I think it would be really positive for the project: better tested before release, less number of quick fix after and more samples of the new functions at release (maps, modes, actions, items, titles etc.)

Be 100% that I am sorry since years of these delays, and I can only say again that I am sad of it. I really hope the entire update will be as good as necessary to make Maniaplanet a must have for tons of gamers in the future.

That sounds promising and I can fully understand that decision. I don't wanna imagine what would happen if the game wouldn't run properly on the GA because of the big update :p
Running a closed beta sounds like a good idea since it allows you to check whether everything is running fine, and maybe fix/tweak stuff before making it all public.

yeah, definitely no update in March, and perhaps also not one in April if some more unforeseen things are discovered that might delay the process again a bit.
Let's wait, as usual, and be ready for the things to come :)

Hylis,
Please do not apologize because you want to do the best (not that we are not expecting it  )

The decision to keep the GA running with the existing game with it's well known behavior is very wise ("never change a running system")
It removes a lot of pressure on everyone: the developpers to get ready, the admins to get the servers running, the players to adapt to the changes in gameplay, the creative community to understand and learn the new stuff and prepare new contents... we have plenty of time after the major tournament.

It's good you're telling it this time a bit more in advance, still I and certainly others as well would appreciate to get more details of the things that are being worked on, also as appetizers, since the wait is prolonged again ;)
The next few weeks will be full of expectation, perhaps not as much as for the previous major releases, but I hope there won't be too many new bugs to find and to repair additionally.

To those who are disappointed, please don't be sad either, let's work together then as soon as we have the update :)

now that you're saying it I finally get it... was already thinking a while on it - after all it all depends on the right pronounciation
in this context, "tmarc" means "tes marques", which gives the following

Ah, come on! Just use an older build at Gamers Assembly in LAN mode!!!

Of course, I'm totally joking. Being a software developer by trade myself, I completely understand where you're coming from Hylis, and we're always happy with the updates when they come. I'm excited to see what the new ShootMania gameplay mechanic is. There will still be one as part of said update, correct?

Best of luck with Gamers Assembly and the pending update!
