Agreed. This is coming from a black guy here. I don't usually advertize my race, but in this case I feel it's warranted. I personally feel that people are getting way too bent out of shape about "being offended". If you're a minority, you get offended. If you're gay, you get offended. If you're a woman, you get offended. The only people who seem to not be allowed to get offended are straight white males. In a bit of irony, that's the same kind of attitude that perpetuated racism and persecution in the first place.

My two cents? They're just words. We all *had* to have grown up with the words (or some variation): "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me." If someone's saying crap about me online, no matter what it is I just ignore it, block them, or turn off the computer. The only place where words, racism, and other kinds of verbal abuse matter is if that kind of stuff spills out into real life. Then it becomes a problem. But if it's just some no-life loser spewing trash in a chat client, why give them the time of day?

Finally someone who provides how easy it is to have a clear sight on things that really matter. Totally agree with this.

Yep. That's some very good advice.
I have to add though, that if you've got the right disposition it can be a lot of fun to watch these trolls struggle futilely to offend you and fail over and over. Especially if the server has one of those profanity filters, at least once I saw one of them accidentally kick themselves off the server.
The eyes of the plush lobster stared deep into my soul. I picked it up, and then I was a panther.

If someone attacks you, just leave so that he can expand on your place. Maybe that's why so much good guys left TM...

The problem with escaping instead of fighting, is that it leaves the bully believe his behaviour is rightful. If nobody is gutsy enough to face him, he will invade everything with his shit. That's what happen in lots of schoolyards and each year some teenagers commit suicide because they have been harried by classmates and adults took it easy. And yes, Facebook suicides happen. I think (hope) the problem here is not as serious as that, but it doesn't forbid us to help making such behaviours stop.

Of course Rudiporto doesn't give enough information to take actions, nevertheless.

I don't know any law or any judge that prevent them to do so. They can protest when they are offended, and they should do as any other. Maybe they are seen as dominant, and as dominant they are not expected to need help, which might dissuade them to complain. For instance, rape is said to be less declared by the victim when it is commited on a man, than on a woman. But should we tell victims to shut up? Never!

Don't Worry About it Dude. Just forget it for him. Let him choke himself on his own words. Better not to get upset and be sure to win. This you will prove him wrong. Loser troll soon shut up when he realizes that his view is not shared.

Cheer up, everything will be okay :thx:
