Any new content?
I just downloaded the Mania Planet 10th Anniversary thing. I then had to wait several hours to download another update for Stadium. Then I finally get to play and there is no offline mode (no biggie), but all the tracks are the same tracks I've been playing for the last ten years! Before I waste time downloading Valley, is there any new content at all in this release??? Thanks for any info.
Re: Any new content?
Yes, Valley (and Canyon) is (are) completely new environment(s).
- You did.
- And...
- ...I didn't.

Re: Any new content?
Maps are new as a new great solo campaign has been created for TrackMania² Stadium

Re: Any new content?
You have to notice some things:
- Trackmania ² Stadium as a ''refresh''
Trackmania²Stadium was just a ''refresh'' of the older, very popular environment TM Stadium. The idea was to attract the players to Maniaplanet, who were still playing TMNF, which was dominating with it's ''freezone'' ( you probably know that ) as well as new players by refreshing the graphics and adding several new features, such as the new solo-campaign ( it has new maps! ), new blocks etc.
So, due to TM2S was meant to be a refresh to bring older players to Maniaplanet, it wasn't intented to add a lot new content (although the new solo campaign & blocks probably took a lot work). However, some people are still playing TMNF, but this belongs to another topic.
- The basic concept of Maniaplanet: Player create content
It seems as if you didn't clearly understand the concept of Maniaplanet. The idea of Nadeo is that they provide the tools and the possibilites for the players and the players create the content.
To refer it to your question why there are no new maps in the singleplayer-campaign ( they still are, but just on principle), it's the ''task'' of the community to create new maps. Side note: They love it
If they've built new maps, they upload them on mania-exchange (here: tmx, trackmania-exchange ), so server admins can choose which one of them they want to upload on their servers.
To conclude, if you want to experience new maps, simply join a server of your favourite taste (tech, speed, dirt) and have fun.
Greetings,
Soprah
[Suggestion: I would rather suggest to cut this topic and paste it in the Trackmania forum, because this topic doesn't belongs to the Maniaplanet forum]
