I recently had a problem with TM Canyon so had to delete all content, and reinstall it via Steam...
(the issue was poor FPS - I have posted in another thread)
- Since reinstalling, the crashes have become more regular again (they had settled and virtually stopped) but it's even crashing sometimes when I press ENTER after typing a message....
Sometimes on map change..
Some times even at the MP3 screen with all the game titles...

Re: [TM2] CRASHES - Canyon Random Closing
Still getting lots of crashes...
From randomly freezing on the tiles/title screen and having to use Task Manager to close it, to video stopping and audio continuing, to locking up totally when disconnecting from a server.

And suggestions made by TMarc doesn't help you out to reduce the crashes?
If you run maniaplanet outside of Steam, you still have as many crashes as in Steam?TMarc wrote:very strange that you also have so many crashes in solo![]()
a few things you could try:
- one user reported that he could solve it by disabling antialiasing on his machine, but this was not yet confirmed by others.
- clean the cache (usually in c:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Maniaplanet) with the Maniaplanet launcher application (configuration -> advanced -> P2P -> clean the cache)
- delete the folder with precalculated shaders GpuCache_D3D9 ( in c:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Maniaplanet\ProgramData)
- delete your default configuration file Default.SytemConfig.Gbx (in your Windows documents, ManiaPlanet\Config)

Re: [TM2] CRASHES - Canyon Random Closing
Sorry it's been a while, I reinstalled, updated, etc and the crashing seemed to settle down for a while, but more recently it's been doing it again randomly...
Freezes on map change...
Crashed when turning Bloom OFF in settings (as soon as I clicked apply)
I'm also getting slow downs, I have V-Sync on, and I get a stable 60fps mostly, but every from minutes it will suddenly drop to 42 (exactly) and stay there for 20-30 seconds, and then jump back up..
It is noticeable visually, and is VERY off putting, especially when going round a corner tight or something..
I did try some of them, indirectly (since reinstalling would have cleared and reset cache and settings etc)
Disabling Anti Aliasing I didn't try, and I refuse to disable it, as the game should run fine with it (and looks horrid without it)
The only thing I didn't do, was run outside steam (unless you mean launching MP directly, and not via the Steam GUI... in which case, I always do this) - but it's still the steam install...
