25hours of game-time/maniaplanet game
So 25hours of ACTUAL game-time would be better to really try out this game and give it a chance. Thats 1 week of testing for a normal gamer. The timer starts as soon as the player runs ShootMania.
Please consider it NADEO

Re: Universal setup tests
he means 25h of actual gaming time and not 48h hours that still count down even if you're not playingdjhubertus wrote:I completely don't understand this part, you want less time than now?
i had to read it twice, too

Re: Universal setup tests
now its 48hours.... But we sleep, we eat, we go out, we live?
Im talking about 25h of ACTUAL gaming. So its more
example : My little brother played 3hours the last 2days and now the demo is over.

Re: Universal setup tests
He explained it in his post above.
He calculates the average play-time each demo user has per day. You can't make use of the full 48hours which are provided of the demo because you have to sleep, eat, do private things etc
So, each player has around 2-3hours per day. Less time if he is a casual player, more time if he is a ''gamer''.
If the demo user has one week, it might be around 25h play-time.
What he (novationx) would like to suggest makes sense in my opinion. Allowing the demo user one entire free week to discover everything what Maniaplanet offers, or at least the main things.
But it depends on what Hylis wants to achieve with the demo. Does he (Hylis) intends that the demo users can't discover all things so there is an inducement to buy the full game? Or is he afraid that if the demo user have too much time to discover all things, the demo user aren't interested anymore to purchase the full version? Similar to this point, Hylis already mentioned that he is afraid that the demo user might ''abuse'' the system (or something like this
)

Re: Universal setup tests
when you see people disconnect to switch account to play the demo, it's a little too much, that what I was saying that we need to be careful a little
and you should avoid to say that the demo is over: you can play in any title <100 players, and all others for 1h / day.
2 days is quite short and I was thinking about 3, but I think that a 'gamer' like you say is also quite aware and can make most of his choice in 2 days + 1h/day.

I agree!!Hylis wrote:and you should avoid to say that the demo is over: you can play in any title <100 players, and all others for 1h / day.
1h a day for each title is a lot!
1hour canyon + 1h stadium+1h valley+1h TM2 title = 4h gametime per day.
Additionally, there are other titles.
If I was a demo player I wouldn't have enough free time every day to just use the 4h of the official titles. Thus the demo would be a free to play for me.
The demotime is big enough

I don't want to be negative but my time counter on trackmania works only when in game. So we are talking about full demo accounts?novationx wrote:now its 48hours.... But we sleep, we eat, we go out, we live?

Thats weird. My timer always counts down. I installed at 14h & 2days later at 14h it was game-over. Re: Universal setup tests
Haenry, it's 1h for Maniaplanet, but I think that other players title are offering a lot. And at the moment, even the TM2 is unlimited ^_^ with <100 players.
Anyway, I think that the messages should be made outside of this forum now
If Storm would have as many players as in France in other countries, it would be much bigger, even in France, since it would benefit of the increased activities in many areas: creations, news, sharing, competitions etc.
In many other game, you play 5vs5, but in Maniaplanet, the whole community can contribute for many other players thanks to the extreme custom abilities. It's the force of it, and especially if more and more players are invited. I know we can improve things, and Power Up! will be a wonderful addition, but I see how many players that are already here mainly just would like more players. So, there is enough to do with what is already available to go toward other players, and eventually stop to concentrate your energy on 'this interface' or 'this scheme' or 'this whatever' things. Now, I would recommend to see that the next big operation, before Power Up! could be that you see how the energy should be spent more toward inviting new players than telling Nadeo what to do.
Also, if you look at http://www.maniaplanet.com, there were 10K players in the last 24h yesterday. There are 13K today and there are new players incoming. I wish you to welcome them well as well.
We made Battle, Elite, Siege, Royal, Platform etc. We will do Power Up! And there will be other things after. Meanwhile, it's up to you, and you can even demo nearly in an unlimited way your own creations
Cheers!
