Policy for automated ManiaHome notification posting

Hi,

As the number of automated notification grows quickly, in order to have a cleaner feed for user, we ask applications that make extensive use of notifications to use the "group" parameter of the notification.
In a future update, consecutive notifications with the same "group" will be grouped together.

For instance, if a player makes 3 actions that send a notification (for instance downloading a skin, breaking a record), we ask you to add the group "download:<login>" or "record:<login>".
So two consecutive download from different users won't be grouped, but if the user download 10 skin, it will be displayed only once.

Do not hesitate to ask if you encounter any issue.

I've just posted the version 5.0.6 of the PHP SDK that allows you to adds the group.

Are there any rules or conventions for naming the group, or can we use anything we want?

And are the groups shared between all notifications, or does each MPWS-user/ManiaLink has its own set of groups? (E.g. if I post a notification with the group "download:magnetik", will it be grouped together with novationx' notification with the same group?)

You can use anything you want.
The groups are shared across all users.
