First World Series Replay Cup [Now with Maniaplanet Channle]

Hey Guys!

I've been planning the World Series Replay Cup for a Week in total and slowly the plans tend towards the end. So I'm going to make it public more or less.
There are still some thing I really want to have for the Videos and thats why I made this thread.

First things first, what is the World Series Replay Cup?
The WSRC is an eSport event I'm planning to do. The event will be on 25 Maps, 5 Maps per Round. So there will be 5 matches each round.
All of it is going to be in TM2 Valley!

I will need around 80 Players for this, thats what I think will be the biggest Problem ^^

So far, so good. But why is it called "Replay" Cup?
It's called Replay Cup, because the Players don't actually drive live against each other! Let me explain it: In the first round the first 5 Maps will be released. After the release People will have time for about 4 days to make their best time on the map, save the replay, and upload the reply to the workshop. After that I will download all of the Rerplays and cut them to matches. In the First match for example, there will be 5 Players (Replays) fighting each other.
But to make sure it is fair wich replay will fight against another, the groups will be set before the 4 Days begin.

Why is it only for TrackMania 2 Valley?
That's easy, because I for myself think it's the most beautiful TrackMania 2 Game currently.

Will there also be an WSRC for other TrackMania 2 Games?
Maybe.
If the Cup will be wached by many people and you really like it, then there will be a chance I'm going to make it for other TM² games.

(And because you might not know what I'm talking about on second point)
Why is it not an normal live Cup?
That's because I will make an Video of every match and upload it on YouTube for everyone to watch!

Will there be an prize for the winner?
I don't know.
To be honest, I really want to make sure there will be an price, but for that I would need Sponsors wich I don't have yet. And that's an private Project, so I don't know if I will get an Sponsor anyway. If not there will no Price, sorry. But I'll give my best to find someone!

What are the Rules in this Tournament?
The Rules are not completely set right now. But there will be some, like "Do not take shortcuts" etc. if someone brakes the rules, he will be disqualified and loose this round automaticly.
But the exact Rules are not set yet.

Also there will be Rules for your cars! You will be abel to tell me what car model and skin you want to use if you ask for it. They will have to pass the standarts either. But more information will come later.

Sounds interesting, i would play in it
The format is nice if you want to gather a lot of people (but 4 day is too short -> 1 week's better since some can't really tryhard during weeks)
I also like the picture you made, but you should work a bit on editing (using re-coloring features would be cool)

If I say 4 Days I mean Thuesday - Sunday that should be enough I think but anyway let's see.

I've used re-coloring once... if you use overlaps or fadeins/outs (or something) it looks totally horrible! looks like the picture is going to explode and fading in again.. just horrible.. bah.. Or did I do something wrong? xD

As not all players use the workshop, I would recommend you to upload the map also to mania exchange. Problematic could be that people can see the replays when they are uploaded to mania exchange, but maybe it's the same on the workshop.
Else it sounds like a really nice idea and I'm looking forward to it. But I agree that four days might be to short for people that have only time during the week or during the weekend. And as it is on valley you need to fight for every driver due to the low player base.

I suggest you to create a maniachannel (it's a twitter like) to write ingame news and then informing players about your competitions.

How to?
1. type "maniaflash" in your maniahome browser
2. create your channel of communication (it's "maniachannel")
3. then you can write ingame news.
Be sure to write a short text (not more 12 lines, I think so. It depends if you attached an image or not)
For adding website links, please use the followings symbols:

Then invite everybody to bookmark your maniachannel.
From our end, we share maniaflashes on the official maniachannels so that all players can read them.
