I don't get it

I have TM2 Canyon,Stadium and Valley I bought them via Steam as part of 10th unniversary pack. Today I saw event: helping Santa get to top of mountain on some server (http://tm.mania-exchange.com/threads/view/2781) and that server needs to install the Trackmania 2. I clicked to install it and it restarted my TM2 Valley and still didn't open TM2. I clicked create desktop shortcut and I closed game and clicked on that shortcut and it said I need to install Shootmania demo. I really don't get it why? Can I do anything except installing Shootmania? Googled it and didn't find solution. Please help.

As far as I know the TM2 title is still not available for Steam as it needs all environments to work at the same time. You need the standalone version for that (works also with the steamkeys). You can download it on your playerpage, if you really want to play it.
