Weird bug

Post by SwagWulf457 »

Um Hi I'm new here, but there is a weird bug, idk if anyone else has it but it's starting to get worse. Its hard to explain but at random periods maniaplanet likes to freeze up or go into a black screen, it even happens in the games, however when there is a freeze up or black screen the music still plays, the mouse still moves, and I can here the sound effects when I highlight or click on something. My pc graphics card is a Nvidia 8600 GT, dual moniters (though it also happened when I had one moniter), and a 4x intel core 2 quad-CPU q9550 2.83 GHz, I run on windows 8.1 enterprise, and I run the game at highest settings..

You should contact the Ubisoft Support which may have this kind of behaviour before: http://support.ubi.com

You need a card with at least 512 MB video RAM.

224? then your card only has 256MB?

The thing is, if there is not enough video RAM, either the game won't run at all, show various undefined artifacts, or the more "intelligent" games and video drivers will reduce something.
Do not forget that Windows itself also eats some part (even if it is not too much).
But with 512 MB only you certainly cannot run Maniaplanet with "hightest settings".
If you selected any of the presets and did not modify them manually, I'm almost sure the game will reduce some stuff automatically and you won't notice it in the settings.

nope the only thing reduced is shaders though the highest are N/A, I used to own a craptop (crappy laptop) and I ran lowest setting. I tell the difference plus I looked at all of them, I know I have to highest on, I'd notice if it wasn't high. also that old laptop ahad less than 100mb of VRAM and it never happened.
