Re: TMU and windows 8/10
i see, so if the master servers stopped functioning there would be no community servers? i'm just guessing, i don't know how those things work
Re: TMU and windows 8/10
The master server allows the players to find the community servers. The list of servers you see in game is the servers that has registered to the master server. Without the master server finding servers would be impossible.
It also allows for LP.

Perhaps only simple and private servers could be there, as they could still be reached by using IP address.
But if the dedicated server itself checks connection to the master server and aborts on connection fail, then it will not be possible.

That is terrible -.-acceleracer_01 wrote:This issue is becoming more and more a thing, especially now with people upgrading to newer OS'es or buying laptops with dedicated + onboard graphic chips. I'm having the same issue on a laptop with a GeForce 840M + Win 8.1, haven't been able to find a solution yet. I highly doubt Nadeo is going to look at that, but perhaps someone from the community will come up with a reliable fix.Smigles wrote: Tmu does not recognise my grafics card under win8 and 10, so it is not exactly working fine ^^
I baught a new laptop that had win8 on it and have not been able to run Tmu on it (with textures...). It has a small onboard gfx chip and a big gfx card, so the onboard chip that tmu recognises can only render plain walls ^^
Now I can't upgrade my desktop to windows 10 cause otherwise I will no longer have a computer that runs TMU...
Re: TMU and windows 8/10
Coming back to this, I checked the troubleshooting section of that forum and saw several threads from people who have exactly the same problem. Some of them with several 100 views, all of them with zero replies unfortunately.Xymph wrote:http://www.tm-forum.com/ is still around, as it has been for the past decade or so.![]()
Re: TMU and windows 8/10
I just installed TMUF on my laptop that has Nvdia Optimus & WIn 10. I had no issue.
Just had to enable the Nvdia card for TMU launcher application.

Well after fiddling around with all sort of options for my different graphics devices I was able to force tmu to recognise my card!oliverde8 wrote: Just had to enable the Nvdia card for TMU launcher application.
Now i feel slightly computer illiterate -.-
Thanks for mentioning the pretty much obvious^^

The abvious isn't always abvious.Smigles wrote:Thanks for mentioning the pretty much obvious^^
I had my touchpad that stoped working on win10 and I become so hopless I bought a small mouse to carry around. Well it seems that when I deactivate the touchpad from the keyboard restarting the computer don't activate it as it used to on win7 & 8. I can't tell how stupid I felt

The abvious isn't always easy

Ok it went even better on my desktop, I did not even have to change any settings and TM just worked normal.
