Hello,
I've created a map mod for Trackmania Canyon. Now it's in a zip file. How to create a gbx file from it? With that title pack creation, it's not working, I dont want to create a title or anything else, just want to get a workable gbx file which can be used for creating maps for the game.
Any help appreciated

But you need to use the pack creation tool in the options of the title, otherwise you won't get a GBX.

I'm getting a gbx with it, but its not workable. I mean I cant use it as a mod. When I'm copying that gbx to my mods folder, its there, but displays the default canyon skin when editing...TMarc wrote:But you need to use the pack creation tool in the options of the title, otherwise you won't get a GBX.

Probably because you did not change the right files or did not consider the folder structure?
Re: Creating a skin.pack.gbx for mod
How should I do it then? Create a new pack I guess, giving a name to it, browsing my mod.zip to the mod section and create. Am I wrong?TMarc wrote:Probably because you did not change the right files or did not consider the folder structure?
Re: Creating a skin.pack.gbx for mod
sure you're wrong.
Mods have to be either ZIP or GBX, but certainly not a ZIP in a GBX
You have to chose the one or the other format.

Packaging the mod.zip is correct. The game unpacks the Gbx while loading and uses the included mod.zip like it where alone.
Try to remove the source mod.zip to prevent that the game loads the mod two times.
Package a mod only if you want to protect the content.
Take also a look into the player page to see if the Maniacredited Package was successfully registered.

Btw when creating a pack, browsing the mod to the mod section, it will create a name.title.pack.gbx. Basically, that gbx file should be the mod, am I right?

No. Unselect the checkbox beside the "Title" button.
The screen should look like this picture.
