Help please! importing skins

I have a problem! every time I install car skins, all I get is this the car is a honda civic. from here: http://www.maniapark.com/ressource.php?id=3057 please help!

Make sure that it is placed in the CarCommon folder,
if you don't have one, just create one

Did it come with a Model.Pack.GBX inside the zip?

If you are creating a custom skin for a custom model you need to make a copy of the entire custom model zip folder (with the 3D model in it) and just replace the SkinDiffuse.dds with your own. It has been some time since I've done this but I think it still works that way.

i'm not creating a new model. I downloaded it and placed it in:
C:\Users\me\Documents\ManiaPlanet\Skins\Vehicles\CarCommon still not working....... T_T
please help me.. am I missing a file? is there an update patch for this? or somethin else?

and yes it has a model.pack.gbx inside the different kinds of cars I download.

or like, am I supposed to make a new account or something?

It should be \Documents\ManiaPlanet\Skins\Models\CarCommon

still not working. but I already know the answer. my trackmania 2 canyon was the old version. I had to download the new one . but thank U so much for having the time to help me! I appreciate it!
