Seems like they're not up-to-date. Because they're also talking about an environment called "Asia", which has been revealed as one of the SM envis ages ago already:

Помимо Canyon в разработке находятся эпизоды Asia и Arena.

By mixing the results of two translators and improving the grammar a bit, I got this:
In addition to Canyon there are also Asia and Arena in development.

And I don't know where Hylis should have said that Arena was a kind of blocks. At least I can't find anything in the Centralised News topic and by searching for Arena in the English and French forum. :/

I don't think anyone has ever said (here officially) that Arena was never going to be an environment. Several high-ranking members have naysayed it, but Hylis has never actually said one way or another. However, the "Asia" as an environment lends doubt to the credibility of this source, as the second environment for TM2 officially is Valley. AFAIK. Why would they cancel an environment they've already worked so far on?
