[MinorBug] Shadow Calculation Bug

Post by skellborn »

Hi,

even though i'm finally able to continue building after some patches, i've come across another bug. In around 1 of 3 occasions, the calculated shadows are a huge mess for my map. I've only come across this, when i calculated them on "low" (it's also fixed, when i first let it calculate on low, see the bug and let it recalculate on medium or higher). But still... there seems to be something wrong.
Even more weird, this time, the shadows were alright, when i closed the game yesterday,, but were bugged, when i loaded the map aggain today... really weird

Another link, maybe this one is acceptable ;)

This is a link to the version of the map, which is bugged.

I'm certain, this didn't happen before thhe update.
Cheers

Uhm no, there is a big message, "We value your privacy" with more text, and a big button labelled "I accept". Which, personally, I won't click.

Try another image hoster to make images more accessible in the forums. ;)

Uhh, thanks, but similar effect with a big overlay that darkens the rest of the page. Again, I have no interest in clicking that button.

My point wasn't that I personally wanted to see that image, and I have nothing against imgur as such. That site merely uses practices that make it unsuitable (IMO) for linking images here for a wide audience that aren't necessarily imgur users.

Huh? Direct Imgur links have never done that for me. The album pages, sure, but not the direct link. They don't even send over cookies on the direct link. You're seeing that notice on the hotlinked image? o_O

Your .jpg link redirects to https ://imgur.com/OWmCpUe , a page with an overlay that needs to be clicked away to fully see the image.

That doesn't make any sense, I don't get this on a clean empty browser, nor do I see any cookies sent/received there, so there's no way they can even check if you accepted already or not.. this looks like something specific to your connection; location based maybe?

Either way, it's getting offtopic. Let's move on.

Hi skellborn (hope you are well) :).

I hate to see one of my favourite mappers running into problems like this! :? 8-)

First thought: Are your video drivers up-to-date?
Second thought: maybe check that anti-aliasing settings are 'normal' and have not been changed recently - by a slightly currupted Windows or maniaplanet update etc.

Cheers...... :pil
