[Solved] Weird controller issue

I've recently been back playing the game after having a break from it but i've got this weird issue where my car doesn't turn sometimes.

I don't think it's lag and i don't think it's my controller either. I didn't have this problem before i took a break so i think it's to do with an update or something. I've checked to see if it was lag by showing ping and it seems stable, no lag spikes so i'm stuck at what it could be. Nothing has changed with my computer either.

I have been struggling to get a decent sens and deadzone for my controller though as noticed the sliders for them have changed and haven't been able to get perfect setup.

Could be a hardware/driver issue too. Have you tried the controller on any different games yet? Which controller are you using? Is it wired or wireless?

Controller seems to work fine in other games, didn't notice any issues in the games i tried. I'm using an Xbox One controller and It's wired.

The controller is quite old as have had it for a long time. Maybe it's just wearing out or something but haven't got a spare controller to test. I did try using keyboard and didn't have an issue but i'm so used to using a controller i didn't test for very long.

So i've come to the conclusion that it is lag. It's weird as looking at ping in game remains stable and don't appear to have any lag spikes. I've got the same internet as i did when last played the game so don't understand. I'll just have to live with it as it doesn't happen all the time.

You're talking about networking lag? Are you saying it doesn't happen in singleplayer then?

Yeah, network lag. No, doesn't happen in singleplayer.

Just thought i would give an update to this....

It was an issue with my controller after all and not lag in game or bug in the game. I got the same problem in the new F1 game so i've bought a new controller and don't have the issue anymore.
