Yes you need to update every time when there are new official blocks for the environment your server is running.

Luckily you dont have to update each time when people create new embedded blocks (and there are a lot of them) for the environment your server is running.

Here is an updated server to match the updated stadium blocs from the client.
This is not a necessary update, except if you want to load newer stadium maps.
