Moving blocks. I don't think this needs an explanation.

They mean moving blocks. Elevators, doors, moving obstacles. Things like that.

I would like that as a feature, especially if you can create a path in similar way as with cameras.

IE:
Place an object and click a button called "object start location", or similar.
Then move the object to next position and click a button called "set as path waypoint", or similar.
When done move the object to final position and click a button called "object stop location", or similar.
It would be nice to also choose speed and movement styles (Linear, hematite, etc...) and object orientations (like rotation fixed, aligned to path etc...)

Don't know if this would be a good addition to TM², or better to wait for a TrackMania 3 (if there will be one)
A TrackMania 3 title should be a massive overhaul and leap forward though. Trackmania is still my favorite game but I think it is inching closer to its expiration date, though could still be great with some largely updated concepts.

css property transform <all> and transform-origin would be enough i guess,
simple css animation 0%{css} 100%{css}

A mediatracker trigger: you can set a block ID and make it move, I don't know how it will work in multiplayer
It could be similar to TM Unlimited, but all in one trigger
Set a block id with: alt + ; (semicolon) and then you type something like "road"
you can set multiple blocks to the same id
here's what it might look like:

Ok. This would restrict the usage to items in first place.
For embedded custom blocks or even official track blocks, the core engine might need modifications to allow multiple lightmaps for specific areas - where blocks are moving.
Note that there is already the dynamic daylight, but this always affects the whole map.

Could an object not be affected by light in the same way as vehicles?
A moving object could even be called a vehicle.
I think as well as moving platforms interacting with the player vehicle, things like airships, airplanes, UFOs, birds, water critters that follow a looping path, would be really cool additions. Especially if you could set a trigger to start the object moving. You could jump onto the back of a whale as it passes and ride it to an island where you jump off and keep going.
(We can do this with trains to some degree now, and they do follow a defined path)

I like this topic because even if ideas suggested here never get used (and many do), it does get people thinking creatively, and that is the kind of thing that moves a game forward. :D

Moving birds would make the most sense, they dont always just stay in one area

I'd want to see the normal two-way road from Valley with its own street lights.
